World Designer | February 2025 - October 2025

A collection of work from my time with the Artificial Core team working on the MMO Corepunk. I worked as a World Designer and was responsible for designing and polishing scenes, environments, and player spaces, such as PVP/PVE arenas, with an attention to environmental storytelling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Created concept block outs and drafts based on design guidelines and concepts, gameplay functionality, and player exploration and navigation. Iterated on block out from concept to final polish, incorporating action and adventure focus to environments.

  • Implemented combat encounters, objectives, traversal challenges, scripted events, and lore relevant points of interests in all designs and environments. Regularly pushed for environmental storytelling through large scale elaborate designs.

  • Collaborated closely with lead designers on tasks and deadlines, working independently within strict production schedules, and taking full ownership of assigned levels, maintaining quality across layout, pacing, and narrative design.

  • Drafted comprehensive level design documentation and reports daily to clearly communicate design intent to programmers, artists, and lead designers.

  • Utilized proprietary systems and in-engine tools to designs environments and engaging levels, accessing asset libraries to enhance details and environmental storytelling.

  • Designed large scale environments and arenas for both PVP and PVE action in Unity 3D, emphasizing interesting level design that highlighted engaging encounters, and player maneuverability and exploration.
